I have been
researching and writing about politics for the past
twenty years and this book, "FIGHT",
contains the
collective wisdom of all those years of work. The title of this
book, "FIGHT", is actually my conclusion and
recommendation to my fellow American citizens.
I believe we must fight the Washington D.C.
establishment and I will explain why throughout this book. The bold font, capital letters, and red,
white and blue coloring of my book's title express my belief
that we need to fight with bold actions, urgently,
and with patriotism in mind.
I was a
finance and accounting major in college and I have worked in
the accounting departments of huge fortune 200 corporations and small
CPA accounting
firms. In writing this book I used my education and experience to examine the budgets and tax policies leading up to the current
banking bailout crisis and the ongoing
federal budget deficit problem. I have
attempted to share my
financial examinations and political ideas in simple terms and graphic forms that any lay person
should be able to understand.
In this book I will show you what previous
administrations have done to cause the current problems, what will
happen in the future if we allow our politicians to continue their current
reckless stewardship of our government, and what
changes needed to be made to our laws and government to keep the
corruption out, the budgets balanced, and the ladders of
opportunity and upward mobility open to everyone. Finally, if
all else fails I have included a survival guide in the appendix.
Fight The Two Corrupt Political Party
System
I firmly
believe that if we don't fight the entrenched powers
in Washington D.C. as ruthlessly as our founding fathers fought
King George III and the British army during the Revolutionary
War our country will be lost to a new cut-throat group of wealth
based monarchs who will take away our rights, improvise us, and
even kill us. The truth is they are already doing all these
things to us and we cannot allow it to continue, and nothing
will change unless we fight back.
Paul Revere's Midnight Ride
April 18, 1775
agents of the Sons of Liberty observed the British Army stationed in
Boston begin their move across the Charles River towards
Lexington to arrest John Hancock and Samuel Adams and seize the
militia's weapons stored in Concord. Paul Revere was instructed
by Dr. Joseph Warren to ride to Lexington to warn Hancock and
Adams that the British were coming.
Revere was
successful in spreading the word to other patriots along his
ride and in notifying Hancock and Adams of the British
military's movements. Thanks to Paul Revere's midnight ride the
militia was able to mount gorilla ambushes against the British
army and fortify key defensive positions that helped the
revolutionaries win some initial battles, and eventually win the
war.
This book, "FIGHT", and my ten year old
website "The Political
Report Card", are my Paul
Revere warning calls that the
fascist are coming. Both of these non-fiction literary works are full of my
research and recommendations on what has happened and what we
need to do to defeat the fascist who are currently in control of
our economy and government.
Time For A New Modern Militia
Paul Revere
was not alone during his midnight ride. William Dawes was also
dispatched to ride a different route with the same message just
in case Revere was captured. I consider myself a modern day Paul Revere,
but I'm only one person sounding the warning call and other
patriots are needed.
We need to spread the word that our country is under attack, and
then join
together to fight the fascist controlled two party system of
government. Will you
join me in warning other citizens? Will you help me fight against the
organized criminals who have infiltrated our government and are robbing our
country of its wealth, and our fellow citizens of their rights?
Wake Up and Unite
It is our
constitutional duty as American citizens to hold our elected officials accountable for
their words, actions, and inactions. We must chose where to draw the line and what to do
if that line is crossed. We must decide when enough is enough and then use our
constitutional rights to force change.
I have had enough and I'm not going to take it any more.
It's time to
start fighting back,
and after you read this book I think you will agree.
Why Fight?
I will go into greater detail later in this book about the
reasons we must fight the two party system of government, but
following is a summary list of those reasons:
- In three decades our elected officials have added $12+
trillion dollars to the federal debt, and interest on this
debt is now over $1 billion per day.
- During the past twenty years the our national trade
deficit has skyrocketed, and during the past ten years has
been averaging around $700+ billion dollars per year.
- Our elected officials have started unnecessary and
unjustified wars in Vietnam, Iraq, and now Afghanistan.
- The U.S. government issues annual reports critical of
human rights abuses in other countries, but the governments
in the U.S. and Israel are guilty of ongoing crimes against
humanity that are horrific and criminal.
- In three decades over 20 million immigrants have entered
America illegally, and most are still here.
- For three decades the wages of middle class Americans
have not risen while the wealth of the top 1% has been
growing exponentially.
- Starting with the Reagan administration a series of tax
law changes have shifted the tax burden from the richest
people to the middle class people.
- America is the only industrialized nation without a
national health care system.
- Deregulations created two real estate bubbles that
resulted in government bailouts, $500 billion in 1989 and
$700 billion in 2008.
- Paperless voting computers have replaced punch card
machines and paper
ballots despite a stolen election in 2000 that was decided
by a partisan Supreme Court vote that stopped a recount of
the paper ballots.
- Our elected leaders have looted every penny
from the Social Security trust fund surpluses, which is over $2
trillion dollars since 1980.
- Our elected leaders allowed energy companies, like
Enron, to rob the state of California
by deregulating the energy market.
- Our elected leaders turned their backs on Enron's shareholders and employees
and allowed the executives to rob the company.
- Our elected leaders illegally
spied on American citizens and avoided accountability by doing
nothing to enforce the law, and then passed the Patriot Act
to make such illegal acts legal.
- Our elected leaders illegally detained, tortured,
and murdered people in Iraq using military personnel and unaccountable private
contractors.
- Our elected leaders
rolled back cronyism rules allowing lobbyist greater
access to our lawmakers.
- Our elected leaders awarded big no-bid contracts to Halliburton
despite catching them cheating and stealing money from their
government contracts.
- Our elected leaders awarded a big government contract for Homeland Security computer services to the
Bermuda based Accenture corporation. Accenture is based in Bermuda
to avoid paying U.S. taxes.
- Our elected leaders continue to give big government contracts to
Blackwater corporation despite their killing of innocent
civilians in Iraq.
- Our elected leaders give Israel billions of dollars every year while
Israel steals land and commits horrific international genocidal war crimes against
the Palestinian people.
- Our elected leaders slaughtered 85 American citizens at
the Branch Davidian's religious
compound in Waco, Texas, including 17 children under the age
of twelve.
- Our elected leaders shot and killed innocent people at Ruby Ridge after
the FBI's psychological warfare against Randy Weaver and
his family failed.
- Our elected leaders supported murderous right-wing dictators throughout
the world so that American corporate interest could exploit
their people and resources.
- Our elected leaders ignored warnings from Richard Clarke that terrorist
were going to attack the U.S. possibly using high-jacked
planes just prior to 9/11/2001.
- Our elected leaders used the 9/11 attack as an excuse to start a costly
and bloody war in Iraq even through there was no evidence
that Iraq had anything to do with the 9/11 attack, and no
WMD's were found.
- Our elected leaders failed to stop the massive accounting scams at
Enron, WorldCom, Tyco, and Arthur Anderson despite the fact
these are publically held companies under the watchful eye
of the SEC.
- Our elected leaders allowed Bernie Madoff to steal over a billion
dollars from investors despite having been told years before
that he was running ponzi scheme. Before his scheme collapsed in
2008 several investigations by the SEC starting in 1992
never found anything improper.
- Our elected leaders did nothing to stop the gas companies from price
gouging consumers in 2007 when they were
making huge record breaking profits.
- Our elected leaders have successfully keep third party candidates out
of the presidential debates since Perot almost caused
an upset in the 1992 election costing George H.W. Bush
re-election.
- Our elected leaders passed unfair tax cuts for
the very rich during the Reagan and Bush Jr.
administrations despite huge and growing federal debts.
- Our elected leaders passed a bankruptcy
bill in 2005, that was apparently written by the credit card companies and banks,
that makes it much harder for people to get debt relief no
matter what the reason.
- Our elected leaders passed an expensive Medicare bill that
prevents the government for negotiating for the lowest price
on bulk purchases.
- Our elected leaders passed environmental bills
allowing energy companies to add more pollution to our
environment, and pass the cost of toxic clean ups to
the taxpayers.
- Our elected leaders have allowed the bailed out banks to continue paying
their executives huge bonuses using taxpayer money while
passing the cost to consumers.
- Our elected leaders placed no restrictions on how the bailed out banks
could use the government bailout money, and Bank of America
used some of their money to buy a bank in China.
- Our elected leaders are using continuous war as a reason to increase
the military budgets to around $1 trillion dollars per year
despite historically high federal budget deficits and no
real threat to our nation.
- Our elected officials are only representing their super
rich campaign contributors and no one else.
- Our elected officials have been consistently voting
themselves annual pay raises making themselves some of the
most highly paid people in our society despite the fact they
only work around 150 days a year.
- The Forbes list of the "Richest People" is
fiction. The richest Americans hide their identities from
us.
- The richest Americans are using Machiavellian mind
tricks and the mainstream media to distract and mislead us while they rob our government of its vast assets.
- Rich Americans and big corporations are using off-shore
tax shelters to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.
- Obama and the Democrats passed a weak health care reform
bill that enriches the insurance, drug, and hospital
companies, and does little to protect consumers.
If these are not enough reasons to fight against the two
party system in America I have more.
Both Parties Must
Go
Both parties did all
these things therefore both parties must be rejected and
replaced. We must
join together to fight both political parties because together they are destroying our democracy, robbing our government, rolling back our legal
system, undermining our rights and freedoms, starting unpopular
wars, and manipulating us and playing us for fools.
An American naturalist
once wrote: "A patriot must be willing to defend his country against its
government.". That quote was never more applicable than it is today.
Therefore,
It is time for the American people to stand up and perform their constitutional patriotic
duties to defend this great country by fighting both political parties, and the
wealthy families they represent. Otherwise, we will need to teach our children and
grandchildren how to live on their knees in silence, and how to be good whores for the
inheritance rich fascist leaders of America's new Mafiaocracy New
World Order government.
We Have The Tools To Fight Back
Our
founding fathers gave us the rights in the U.S. Constitution to fight against a corrupt
government. We can use those legal
rights as tools that can be used to fight back in the following ways:
- vote
- boycotts (See
Appendix
B: "Boycott List"),
-
protests
-
strikes
-
badgering
-
letter writing
-
lawsuits
-
lobbying
- civil disobedience
- asymmetrical warfare
Each of these tools
will be explained in much greater detail later in this book.
(See Chapter 3: "How To Fight
Back".)
We should use all
these tools continually and at an increasing rate of aggression
until we win, or until we are forced to surrender. Each of these tools carries a cost that might
hurt the average citizen, but the cost of not fighting is going
to be astronomically higher.
Making
The Choice To Fight
Life is a
series of choices and the more information we have the more likely we are to make the
right choices. We have no choice over the situation we are born into but once we are here
it is largely the choices we make that determine the direction our lives will take. A wise
and well educated mentor is a great source of help in making good choices. Good mentors
can be parents, teachers, friends, family members, co-workers, and even books.
This book
is written to be a mentor on an important political choice, and it is a source of factual
information and motivation. This book seeks to confront the American people with the most
important choice they will probably ever make in their lifetime. Their decision on this
critical choice will effect this generation and countless future generations. The options
to making this choice include the following:
Do you join the fight to take back
the American government from the grossly corrupt and immoral people who are in control?
Do you join with the people in power
to help them maintain their positions of power and thus help them achieve their extremist
fascist agenda?
Do you just sit back while others
fight on your behalf?
Our
country's founding fathers chose to fight King George III and the
British army because
they did not what their children to be bound by the monarchial chains that had bound them.
They had a new vision of a government of, by, and for the people, and free of religious
bigotry. They wanted opportunities for all the people and not just for a select few who
were born into wealth and power, like the monarchs.
Not all
the colonist agreed with this vision and many joined forces with the British troops to
defeat the revolutionaries. However, thanks to military leaders like George Washington,
Nathan Hale, and Ethan Allen and writers like Thomas Paine, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas
Jefferson most of the colonist united and fought the war that won our independence and
gave birth to our democratic republic.
A famous economist
once said: "People of privilege will always
risk their complete destruction rather than surrender any material part of their
advantage.", and that description fits the character of the
people we must fight if we want to save our system of government.
A War Against The Two Party System Is Necessary
Wars are
never easy, swift, or fair. They are bloody, dirty, ugly, and drag on for months and
years. This new war against the two political parties and their supporters will be no different. This war
will take sacrifice, but that is a choice we must make and a price we must pay if we
expect to continue living as free people in a country where the legal system treats
everyone as equals. We must make this choice soon or our ability to effect change will be
taken away by the people we should be fighting.
The cost
of choosing not to fight this new war will
be everything our founding fathers and forefathers fought and died for, including our
rights and freedoms. We should honor their sacrifice by using these inherited
rights to fight the people who are working to undermine those same rights. These cost are
examined in much greater detail later in this book. (See
Chapter 2: "Predicting The Future".)
Concentrated Wealth & Power
The
wealth of our country is being concentrated into the hands of a few inheritance
families who have no loyalty to America, no respect for our
legal system (constitution), and no respect for our democratic system of
government. Our forefathers passed highly progressive tax laws in 1915 to protect us and
our system of government from this wealth concentration danger but recent Republican
administrations have undone those laws with highly regressive tax
law changes.
"I see in the near future a crisis approaching. It
unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my
country. The money power preys upon the nation in times of peace
and conspires against it in times of adversity. It is more
despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more
selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces, as public enemies, all
who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes. I have
two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me & the
financial institutions (banks) at the rear, the latter is my
greatest foe. Corporations have been enthroned, and an era of
corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of
the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon
the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in
the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at
this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever
before, even in the midst of war. God grant that my suspicions
may prove groundless." - Abraham Lincoln - 1864
Abraham
Lincoln's words ring true today and point to the need for new progressive tax legislation
and financial regulations
to protect our republic from this political corruption and wealth
concentration danger. If we fail to stop this wealth concentration we will need to adjust
our life styles to survive under a new form of government. (See
Appendix A: "Survival")
The Need for New Leadership
We need
new leadership in Washington D.C. and new rules on how we elect and compensate our leaders. We
need to get rid of the new paperless voting computers and return to a voting system that
can be audited and has a paper record that can be recounted. We need to get rid of the
current fundraising system, which is basically a quid pro quo system of bribery, and start
public financing of all political campaigns. And we need a few other changes that will be
talked about later in this book. (See Chapter
4: "Taking Back Our Democracy".)
Big
Government Is Not The Problem
This book
is not calling for the destruction of our government. We love our government because our
government works for us; at least in theory based on constitutional law. This book is
calling for a few minor changes that will strengthen our democracy and will increase
opportunity for people to move up the economic ladder, just like the sixteenth amendment
to the Constitution did in 1913. We also need the ability for
average citizens to be able to take part in the
government leadership and the legislative process and not just
give up their power when they vote for someone to represent them.
Fighting
Back Really Works
In April
of 2006 the television news reports were full of images of young French people protesting
the diminution of worker's rights. These protester's acts of civil disobedience were
fearless and relentless. After several weeks of this rioting the French government gave in
to the demands of these protesters and withdrew their anti-worker legislation.
This is a
great example of people standing up for themselves to force change in a democracy. This is
a model for demanding accountability that the American people should embrace and copy
while we are still in a position to do so.
But the vast majority of the American people
are like a deer frozen in the headlights of an oncoming
automobile. They sense danger and they know they are being
conned and manipulated by both political parties, but they are
confused, afraid, and placated into inaction by personal
possessions, television, jobs, technology, and low cost goods.
Therefore, they do nothing in response to this political
corruption and government looting. But the danger is real and it
is moving closer and closer every second. If the American people
don't wake up and start fighting back their fate will be the
same as the fate of a deer stuck in the headlights of an
oncoming automobile. Consider this book your wake up call.
Start
Fighting Back Today
Fighting
back can work and regardless of who is buying the elected leader's snake oil.
The facts
are facts and the time has come to draw the battle lines and begin the fight. It is time
to take our government back from these liars and thieves before it's too late, and that is
what this book is all about.
This book
will show you how we got where we are today, what will happen if we do nothing, how to
fight back, and what changes need to be made to our laws once we have succeeded in taking
back our government. In summary, this book ask you to make the choice to FIGHT!,
and then it shows you how to act to get results.
